A "biker" is just someone who cares more about making rules for other people to follow than riding. You gotta have this or that on your bike, CAN'T have this or that, can't wear this or that, say or do this or that... think of prisoners who've been so institutionalized that they can no longer function in a world where everyone gets to make his own choices. So they make up rules for others to follow.

Then, of all hilarious ironies, they call the people who DON'T follow all their silly rules, "posers." Yeah, that's more than a little backwards.

Note that motorcycling basically has nothing to do with it. Even people who'd rather get drunk in bars than ride to a national park three states away consider themselves "bikers." That irony isn't quite so hilarious, IMO; just sad.

Finish it off with third-grade reading comprehension and writing level, and a few physical threats in an online, text-based forum (heh), and that's a "biker" for ya!

I have had bikes for about 10 years but just got my first HD last year... Am I a "Biker"??? On the flip side I am also a Father of 4 daughters, who I love to spend time with, a wife I love to death, a dog and a career. Some people refer to me as a biker but they are usually non riders who do. Not that the title means much to me but I sure as hell don't want to be a poser either.

So tell me, am I considered a biker??? What makes someone be considered a biker???
That's an easy one - if you were a "biker" you wouldn't have to ask people on an internet forum if you were a "biker" and you wouldn't think that knowing your hair style and how many tattoos you have tells them if you are a "biker."

So - you're not.

If he drove a semi he would be a trucker...
Therefore, since he owns a bike he must be a biker.
