Man you want to take over and it sounds like you have not even done your hang around period yet.This takes 6 to 12 months plus prospect period.You don't just join a mc you have to be asked then the hang around starts.Yep,pres can pull your colors during prospect period if you make it that far.
I think I understand but for the most part. Yet, it is my understanding that most clubs do not actively recruit members without an interest shown by prospective members. Also why isn't there a bypass in the prospective period, particularly for those that exceed basic expectations of the club? Perhaps there is?
Also, who says when one joins a club there isn't a guardian angel--on the outside--also joining the club? Unacceptable? By whose standards because you are about to make it yours, not theirs (yet, still theirs)--&--therefore how you, the prospective member, spread themselves is of concern only to the members due to their personal concerns--but since their safety is only relative to your survival...
So essentially, one would only end up with a dark, dark, shadow sgt of arms type at their side.
That is a crazy azz thought I just had & with that in mind I wonder: is being in a club worth the paranoia that, likely, erupts?

Personally I have never wanted to join a MC, ridden with a few RC's over the years and that is fine for me, cannot be bothered with the drama, sounds like the OP is looking for loads of drama, might be time to get a hobby, like knitting.

Since this thread has "arguments" in it, I can't resist flaming the entire idea of Motorcycle Clubs and gangs, pretending there is a system of hierarchy amongst men who can't fight their own fights, and gotta have their friends around at every avail.
Riding club? I kinda get that, let's all go for a ride, like Toys For Tots, or a Memorial ride... Sounds good... Let's all go for a ride, then go practice our secret handshake and work on our scowls... Notsomuch.
