Default Back on a man's bike

So I fell down the stairs a few weeks ago and screwed up my ankle pretty bad. The Road King has been sitting quietly in the garage while I hobble around like a stupid cripple. After a couple of weeks I figured I'd be okay to run a few errands around town on the wife's little Honda and had been using it up until today. I was going to Lowe's to pick up a few things and thought I had better check the air in the front tire before I left. In the process of checking the air, the damn schraeder valve broke and gave me an instant flat. So much for the toy scooter. I eye'd up the Road King and said the heck with it. Lowe's is about 3 miles from the house but I got lost and couldn't manage to find my way home for 3 1/2 hours. No problems with the ankle either.

It feels good to be back on a real bike.

I know the problem. Funny, how local streets become totally unfamilliar when you're on the bike.

with the cooldown up here, my leg has been killing me past few days so I haven't been able to sneak mine out this week. Hopefully soon......it needs a few miles put on it.

The wooden airplane was a gigantic hit. The kids went nuts over it the minute I brought it into the room. According to their parents, they have been wearing that thing out nearly non-stop every day.

I'm thinking about building another to be placed in an orphanage or foster home some time in the future.

With my ankle problem once it gets cold it gets more and more painful to ride. Thank god it's my right ankle and not my left so I can still lean to the left and keep the right with no pressure. Glad to hear you're out and about again.

I can sort of relate. I fell off my sons roof a few month ago
and fractured verterbraes L2 & L3. I was off work for two weeks
then I was on light duty for 3 weeks and several months later
I can still feel every pebbel on the road when I try to ride my RKC.
maby that is why it was in the garage with a quarter inch of dust
on it and cat paw prints in the dust now it has ben washed waxed
and chrome polished with one of my wifes bed sheets over it with
bricks holdind the bed sheet down to the floor
