I've known a few respectable members who have opted out and been able to walk away because of personal reasons after many years service. He will figure this out for himself.

I understand it's his club brother, that is plainly apparent from the original post. The question is what would I do in this circumstance. I would stay out of my brother's marital affairs and let them sort this out without my meddling, pressuring, or my individual or club interference.

Woman are like buses. Wait 15 minutes and another one comes along. Plus it sounds like he was in the club when they met, so she's got nothing to bitch about. The sticking point are the kids. Family courts are maternally biased but I'd hire a sharp divorce lawyer and make a fight of it.
