There's a fuse? Jeez...

Yea, I can see this as being a real problem...guess it's something else to lose sleep over.

IT'S A FREAKIN' 25 CENT FUSE! Buy a couple extra.

If you get a synthetic fuse you don't have to remove them when working on your bike.

Duct tape + fuse + forehead + slight pressure= never lose it and good conversation starter as in...

By stander: Excuse me sir what do you have taped to your forehead
You: well, that is none of your ****ing business

Adds up to one more ******* you'll never have to talk to again. One or 20 a day doesn't matter just make it your goal to "disinvolve" as many people in your life as possible.

Or "buy" a bike that doesn't have a fuse like that. I have never run in to that problem with mine...

If you buy the fuse just make sure it is a genuine HD or screaming eagle product because if it isn't it will void your warranty and it is of better quality than any other fuse ever made ever.

I only use Amsoil fuses, all others suck...especially those Mobile 1 fuses.

What is this "main fuse" you guys are talking about? My Harley has circuit breakers, wired in with screw terminals.

If I have to, I disconnect the negative battery cable.

I wish HD would offer an "edited" version of the service manual without all these BS warnings/cautions on every GD page. Then we wouldn't even have to think about questions like in the OP. I'd even sign a waiver just to be able to buy one without all the corporate lawyers nonsense in it.

That would be a mighty thin book.
