I'm from here and been riding this area for many many years. Yes we have our fair share of "Posers" but not unlike any other area. There usually at the water holes most of the time. A shame because we got great mountain / coastal roads and have perfect riding weather year round.

Actually Neil Peart use too (1st book), now ride's a BMW GS between shows, met him and his bike a while back,, he also has a Ducati 916 I believe.
Keanu Reeves ride an old Commando...

There was a magazine article I read a couple years back had a list of celebrities that road.....

Most of "real" celeb riders can be seen up the at the "Rock Store" on the weekends.

Guess when you do the math it balances out to the numbers of "posers" on the forum.
