Thumbs up Gerbing's pulling out of China

I stopped by the local BMW bikes dealership because I am trying to find some Gerbing's G3 gloves. The parts guy said a Gerbing's rep was in the store the other day and told him they are in process of pulling production out of China and moving it Stateside. He said somewhere in the Carolina's.

You don't hear of too many Companies moving from China to the US. Good news to me. Makes me feel better about my G3's.

Thats Cool. Actually more and companies are pulling out of china due to rising costs and lower quality.

You're going to hear more of it in the future. We have suppliers that rely heavily on Chinese produced fittings and they have a back order wait of 8 or more months. They are telling us that due to labor relations the plants only run 2-3 days of the week. They are developing and the citizens are getting a taste of the American dream and want more. They will price themselves out of the market and we will move to the next sweat shop infested third world country.

We had a thread on here not to long ago and a few members were defending the junk made in china. I think they are willing to short cut and substitute materials to create substandard products.

Only problem is....finding people here who are willing to WORK...not jsut show up and fk off, but sweat and work. The young generation won't do it....too spoiled.

Manufacturing will go where there is a WILLING workforce. IF the USA pans out, they'll leave again.

We live in a World economy now, guys. Businesses exist to make a buck, not provide jobs to people as part of Obama's marxist plan.

the same thing from the harley dealer was £245.
only difference was mine had a gerbing badge, the other had the moco badge.
thats one expensive badge.
