Looks like all the wallet bikers are off the roads now!

I started riding in 1956 and rode year around. I'm 73 now and have not found any reason to not ride in the winter. It helps keep my skills up for the long tours that I do. Summers are for traveling and winters are for local riding.
Works for me. The expression some so called brothers use in this thread calling winter riders "badass" . I don't know what they mean. To me that is a person who drinks, does drugs, fights and steals.
I'm a weak frail old man. I just have a life long passion for motorcycles and riding. Maybe my learned "brothers" on this thread could explain why the hate for cold weather riders. I say hate because some of their posts are full of hate.
I can't understand that at all. I thought we were all bound together as riders and more specifically HD riders. I must be very wrong.
Shame on you haters.

Never have posted in this thread because the whole mine is bigger than yours thing is for the birds. However I really would rather ride in 40 degrees than 90 degrees. I like riding when it is cold out.

"Ride your bike , enjoy it and life cause that's all there really is at the end of a day, when you get down to it, the rest is bullshit"... TwiZted Biker

I couldn't go a winter season without riding. It was that way in Ohio until 2003 and way easier down here in NC since then. Got nothin' to do with proving anything ( unless you have to think it does of course.) There are simply different levels of commitment to the 'sport', and mine tends to be on the higher end apparently.

Living Rockford, IL our winters can get pretty brutal. I guess I'm a "wallet rider" because i put my bike up for the winter, but it's kinda nice once spring comes along. It's like you have a brand new toy, but didn't have to spend any money to get it!!
