Looks like all the wallet bikers are off the roads now!

You ask him why he'd been off two wheels for that long? I can think of many like myself who just woulnd't settle for less than a Harley or had too many other life traps they couldn't get out of.
Just because a guy has a bike doesn't make him a biker, and just because he doesnt have a bike doesn't make him NOT one.

So, anyway, rode to work yesterday (39° in the AM and damn chilly on the way home).
No windshield, but Gerbings kept my hands toasty, face/neck wrap and snap on face shield. Only thing that froze was my legs. Said screw the long undies and paid for it.
There seemed to be an extra comradery between the riders as we passed each other and an extra big wave, haha. So, eat it, wave hating types, lol.

Yep, I'm a *****...winterized my bike yesterday. Shame on me for watching the weather forecast & seeing 30's - 40's in our forever future. When you get older, being out in the open cold @ 50-70 mph isn't fun anymore & washing sand/salt off your scoot in freezing temps is plain...stupid (I said it)...

bddd :
Not peer pressure or proving anything. My reason is simple. I'm 72 and 1/3 of my contemporaries are gone. I have no idea when I may be next. I have had a life long passion for motorcycling.
So every morning that I do wake up, I tend to celebrate life by going on a motorcycle ride. Works for me.
I find that riding in the fall is the best riding that I have experienced. But then what do I know after 56 years of riding?

Pushing toward 70 in it self is a plus as I see it and not doing what you love to do is a big - for me anyway.
I continue to ride because I am still around to do so, Riding for 55 + years has been one hell of a hoot
