Looks like all the wallet bikers are off the roads now!

30 and warming I'll ride. 40 and falling temps I'll take the truck.
If you see someone commuting in single digit temps, offer them a car pool and see if they accept.

Less feeling like I have to wave..when passing other bikers. That's a +.
Bike runs stronger..colder air = denser.
I ride throughout the winter...long as there's no snow on the roads...there are plenty of days in the winter when the roads are dry an relatively sand free.
Wife won't ride throughout the cold season...I do miss that.

I can save about 50 to 60 bucks in gas a week by riding the bike instead of my truck. Besides that, I LIKE riding my bike..even when I'm freezing my *** off. I'm wierd that way. Can always stop to warm up. Noticing fewer and fewer riders around here already too. To each his own. Deer are getting active..be careful out there.

I'll ride on a cold day, but if it drops below 50, I don't usaully bother. That's why I also own a car... A couple of years ago I rode to Daytona. 400 miles and it never got above freezing. My friends thought I was a God. I thought I was plain stupid.
I'm just a wuss.
No pleasure at all for me in riding when it's under 65. I don't even enjoy all THAT much between 65-75. To me, riding is at its best when I can wear shorts and a sleeveless t-shirt.
Y'all are welcome to call me names. If you enjoy bundling up and being cold, more power to you. It's not for me.
I don't hurl my body down snow covered mountain tops or throw my body out of perfectly good airplanes either.
:-)

I don't consider myself a "biker" either. But I love riding my bike. And do so almost exclusively since it's my only transportation right now. A few weeks ago, when it rained for like 3 days, a co-worker picked me up. I don't cherish riding down a highway in rush hour traffic when it's wet. But, the wife and I did take a 1020 mile round trip that started in the low 50s, and by that afternoon we were in the 100s. So it doesn't just come out when the weather is between 70 and 80.
I think the term "biker" is a myth. I'm a motorcycle enthusiast.
