Once it gets down into single digits, we'll see who the real riders are.

It is nice when it turns cold. But I don't like riding in the rain and here's why... the only nice things in my life are my bikes and my guitars. The rest of my stuff is old, worn and used right down to my skivvies.

I don't like seeing my bikes get rusty and funky. I'm not crazy clean on my scooters but I try to keep them up. I rode home in a downpour yesterday on the FXST. I know no matter how much I clean on that sucker it's gonna have **** up in the corners and start to rust. I hate that.

As far as the roads full of summertime posers, the best ride for me is up in the Sierras after the temps hit the 50s and 60s. Beautiful winter blue sky, no tourists or winos going to the vineyards, just a few birds sitting on the fences and me and my putt cruising along. That works for Tq...

I'll ride on a cold day, but if it drops below 50, I don't usaully bother. That's why I also own a car... A couple of years ago I rode to Daytona. 400 miles and it never got above freezing. My friends thought I was a God. I thought I was plain stupid.

Fall is my favorite time to ride. Hand surgery is keeping off the saddle for about 3 weeks. Hope it dont snow then. Back in the early 70's I would ride the BSA to work until it was about 20*. Too damn hard to start then(a kicker) cause it sat out in the open.

Some of y'all are tough talkers, weird, or just plain stupid. I lived with just a bike for a while, and any day below about 25 deg I dreaded getting on the bike and riding to work.

Like someone said, some people thought I was tough. I knew I was just poor.

I love to ride as much as the next guy, but I'm glad I have a truck now, too.
