I don't give a **** about how people think I look. If I'm in town I sometimes wear a DOT half-helmet, otherwise it's full-face. I ride ATGATT. I've seen what happens to people who don't dress for the crash. F that.

 

I don't wear a FF or other type helmet very often. I'm thankful I was wearing my FF when that teeniebopper pulled a left turn in front of me on a country road. The big gouge in the chin guard would have been my face ground down to the bone. It gets hot in the helmet here in Texas all year long so I avoid wearing on short trips. Don't tell my ol' lady, I promised to wear one all the time.

 

Around town with traffic is where most accidents occur.

 

highway = yes, sadly and prolly stupidly, round town only when cold....otherwise it is shelved. I am however a very prudent driver. I have had cars cut me off, with mere feet between me and the front end of the car, and managed too avoid the unthinkable. I do plan on rethinking my usage in the future with my next bike however.

 

I always wear a FF. Since I always have, I feel weird when I try to ride without one.

 

For me fashion is secondary to function. If it below about 50-55, I go with the FF. If its warmer I leave it home unless I expect to be back late.

 

I never wear helmets unless I'm in a state that requires them. I have a half helmet for that purpose.
