Gettin' me some TASSELS, converting my dyna to an Indian
That's right..I've decided to convert my fat bob into an Indian. I want tassles on the grips, but the only way that will look right is if I change the fat bob first. So I placed an order for some Indian tank badges and I also found a plastic indian head that I am going to mod and glue to the front fender. I know what you are gonna say..you're gonna say wtf? But that's the only way that I am going to be able to put on tassles and have the bike look good.
Also, has anyone ever added a single long tassle to the rear fender? To kind of give the rear fender a horse tail look?? That's what I plan on doing.

Also, besides the perception that people will now think I have a cooler "vintage" or more expensive bike...is there any downside to leaving the tank black?? I don't want people to see and kind of question what they are looking at you know?

x2 on WTF?
Not likely, even if you make it look right a replica will never fetch the price of an original.

Hmmmm...is this because of the vivid black color? I know a lot of Indians are red, so I was going to sand and rattle can the tins maroon and then add some DIY custom pinstriping with a paint pen i have, then respray it with a rattle can clear coat. I believe that if I do this, along with the badges and head I'm gonna glue on the fat bob's fender, should make people believe I am riding an authentic Indian motorcycle (so long as it has tassles. no one would ever believe it's an indian without the tassles).
