Toss up, I'd say.

I was in a ride with some guy doing this. It baffled me. Step on a piece of glass or something like that and bleed everywhere?

 

It was common place in Hawaii to see either barefoot or flip-flops........stupid in my book....

 

I always make sure I at least have my flip fops on otherwise the hot pavement hurts my pinky toe.

 

After the skin peels off, toe nails next, & then the bone starts to shred. When it happens, hope someone gets pictures for slow learners.

 

Self solving problem if he gets in a nine line bind. We get lots of threads on here about people doing stupid crap. I have actually had people tell me about how long it took for them to heal from stupid crap while trying to blame everything but themselves. At my age, my size, and my attitude-------I just tell it like I see it. I have informed more than on person that they are stupid. That stupid doesn't have to always be fatal but it almost always hurts sooner than later.

 

Now I gotta clean coffee of the keyboard again

 

I've ridden barefoot for short distances in my neighborhood. Yes, I understand the risks involved. Yes, I understand that many of you think it's a stupid thing to do. No, I'm not going to lose any sleep worrying what someone else thinks about it.

I've also ridden without a helmet, waterskied without a life vest, spot welded without eye protection, and painted cars without a respirator. I also used to smoke and drink.

It's too late for me to die young, though.

 

I was sitting at a Stop light when a chick pulled up next to me, she was riding her Vespa scooter in flip flops, she put her foot down with the bike still moving, the flip flop rolled under and her toes hit the tarmac very hard..Within one second she was screaming in agony, and trying to keep her scoot as she started crying....I laughed so hard i nearly ****......
