traveler, you speak pretty passionately about Hells Angels. Why not prospect if you feel that strongly?
And referring to them as "81" rather than Hells Angles for purposes of respect, would indicate calling them Hells Angels is in some degree disrespectful. Correct?

No....."Hell's Angels" and the use of it is reserved for members. That is why ALL of the support merchandise is void of the words "Hell's Angels". Again, it's respect.
As a born again Christian, there is no way I could prospect in. As soon as they found out I was, they would point me towards the Soldiers for Jesus M/C....BTW, I have already been approached to prospect by the soldiers 2-3 times, and I told them I would think about it.
As a general rule, not really like people much...much less having someone tell me what to do outside of work.
I ride where I want, when I want....that's why I ride alone.
That said, the 81 stands for integrity in a way that you never see anymore.
Say what you mean, not what is convenient at the time.

For a lot of people it stands for something different. I don't know how a born again christian could endorse some of the behavior that seems to be synonymous with those groups, at least according to the DOJ.
I don't know man, I decided to do some research myself and maybe find out what the deal is, and it doesn't really look like a bunch of valiant knights keeping their words and protecting women and children.
but whatever, this really is no concern of mine. I think everyone should do their research before they decide who to idolize.

I'm with you traveler all the way ('cept there's no apostrophe in 81). I did my wild evil stuff before I got saved. No desire to go there anymore even if I could. The thrill is gone, got bigger things on my mind...
