When I had the flames painted on my bike one of the colors was supposed to be burnt red. Well,,,,, it looks more pink to me and everyone else. Now my wife hates pink. Started giving me chit about it until I told here if she doesn't want to ride it because of the pink flames she can stay at home and I'll take one of three younger women I work with with me on the rides.
She doesn't say anuthing about them anymore. LMAO

Funny story- I was standing inside the front of a large 7-11 store sipping on a cool beverage and enjoying the AC after several hours riding in 90+ weather. I could see my bike through the windows. I observe a guy and his woman checking out my ride. As they are walking into the store I hear the woman saying, "That's a nice bike, too bad it's such a girlie color." Just as she utters this comment, the guy notices me standing there with my "biker" gear on. He looks embarassed and quickly steers his lady in the opposite direction. I thought it was amusing and almost made a smart a$$ comment, but decided not to go there.
Now I realize my bike is not one of the more popular colors (Suede Blue), but that's why I like it. Most all my riding buddies have black bikes-they being REAL men and all... One of them did give me crap when I bought it saying it was "powder blue" I played along and told him I bought it because it matched my eye color!
So, what say you? I would concede it was girlie if it was pink, but light blue? I don't really give a crap-I am secure in my manhood, just curious about the issue. I have heard similar stuff said about yellow bikes. Any other colors that make the "girlie" list?

Girlie colors
Well...my wife's deluxe and my SG are the same colors (white pearl, cany apple red, white gold leaf) but in different schemes. So clearly I have girlie colors. Nobody has said so though...at least within earshot.

NO such thing.
Then again, my bike is Orange.
I saw a Deluxe at the rally that was black, with old school Cadillac pink flames with wide pinstriping on the flames borders. Bike was set up all old school, and I thought the paint was trick. I'd ride that bike in a second.

My Heritage is silver on white. Don't know if it's "girlie" or not, don't care.
I do know, it's an attention getter from both genders, and has been for 18 years.
