Default Radical bikes seen in Sturgis

Just got back from Sturgis, we saw three bikes that were hand made and were very cool I think. Anyone know who the builders are? There was another smaller one with single cyl Yamaha eng, one with green wheel had a inline 4 cyl Yamaha, and Yellow wheel had a V twin of some brand.

Oh yeah had a great time too.

NICE. We just returned yesterday ourselves. Noticed a few hand built cool bikes...V8's and such. Lots of custom jobs as well.
Honestly though we were too busy checking out the babe's and their skimpy little outfits to notice the bikes much.

Not a fan of those. I can appreciate the time someone put into them though.

even though it's cool....using anything other than a harley engine means it'll never be worth squat.

Just the way it is.

Looks like an 'ol CB350 Honda with the green wheels....Today they are now customs...

Back in the early 70's they were about 10-cents/pound...That's because there were tons of them!

These not any part of a stock frame, they were low long and built from it looked like scrap from a farmers scrap pile. But they were done in a nice manner, air suspension dropped them to park, the yellow wheel one shot flames out...I thought they were pretty cool. I wouldn't want one but they were cool for what they were.

That's cool.....we need more guys on bikes.

New ideas, fresh ways of doing things, everyone benefits.

Built on the cheap, and full on custom. Not worth **** if you try to sell.....but fun to wrench and rod the hell out of.

I'm starting to get the old sporty chop itch again...

Back in the day most guys were riding hondas triumphs bmws and the like they didn't have the money for the nice Harleys and as for customizing them well they had to make the stuff them selves since aftermarket goodies were not around.
the guys that built bikes out of piles of what we call trash nowadays I have to take my hat off to them they had a vision and the skill to make something out of nothing. most of them were a bit on the crude side by todays standards but not many machinists were into making bike parts so most of those rat bikes or chops came out of garages with nothing but a bunch of hand tools.
So what if a guy builds a chop with a Honda engine if the bike had a Harley engine in it it would still be the same value. most people are so into factory original bikes with bolt on parts they bought they would walk right by something like this.
when was the last time any one here took a flat piece of steel and made something for their bike? or should I set the bar a little lower, how many people even change their own oil?!
Ok i'll get off my soap box now.
