I ride somewhere everyday it's not raining. Some days it may be 10 miles others it may be 300, but I get on her everyday I can. I find Time to ride!

Or if you pack a lunch box, no paper bag, just get some of them bungee cord type things....allot cheaper than saddle bags. I strap my lunch box that way.

When I had my StreetBob, I used one of those soft-sided 6 pack cooler thingys, set it on top of the headlight and lashed it to the handlebars. Those bungee nets work great for that.

15mpg cage vs. 45mpg bike on a 45mile commute.
3gallons burned in the cage vs. 1 gal in the bike.
2 gallons difference x $4.00 = price of of lunch.

How many of you either don't have a car of have had a time where you only had a bike? that is real riding. Figuring out how to get everything you need to done on a bike. IO ride whenever I can. Yes, now I have a car and a bike but those were the good old days.

Actually I do. I find it adds a very nice custom touch to my seat with the blood stains.

I've been planning on getting saddlebags for a while, and probably will wind up getting that cool little one that hangs off of what appears to be the belt guard? on some bikes I've seen here. I personally like to travel light as part of the riding experience to me is not having the usual commodities on board.

Driving to bring lunch actually doesn't' make much sense once I did some number crunching though. If I spent the $4 on food that I would have on gas if I drove (in addition to the cost of buying grocery store food) I would come out as under the average cost of driving for a day. However it usually doesn't work out that way.. even dollar menu food adds up

For me anyway, riding is a PRIORITY. I always make time to ride. Even if it's only 100 mile trip around the lake.

Nothing about my hog makes sense. When I put pencil to paper and add up all I have invested in it, what I owe, etc., it looks even worse. But when I fire it up and start banging through the gears...it all becomes clear and everything makes perfect sense. And I arrive at work with a big grin on my face.
