i just bought my Harley three years ago, and probably went through a little of that, 'cept it was more just the t shirts and leather. All I really wantede was to be able to ride a Harley, after being off of a bike for 20 years. I realized I needed to grow up alot, because there is a whole lot of differenc between a 500 BSA in 1975 and a Road King. Now, Just let me ride.

 

Shhhhh!!!! If we don't keep it down in here, all the folks from the "Walking Billboard" thread will come in.

 

Pfffttt .... I see we're back to the 'what is a biker' discussion. To which I reiterate .. NOT EVERYONE WHO RIDES A MOTORCYCLE "IS" OR "WANTS TO BE" CONSIDERED A 'BIKER' ... A MOTORCYCLE ENTHUSIAST, MAYBE .. BUT NOT A BIKER!

By the implication of what a biker is on this forum ... I wouldn't even want to be a member of that elite club?

Anyone whose entire identity is tied to a motorcycle, the things they wear, their haircut, or a freaking tattoo has major issues anyway- Go ride your freaking bike and quit whining about other people.

Man, uh... I wear a leather jacket and chaps when its cold. Is that alright with the real bikers? I didn't buy them from the dealer though.. no hd patches. This is great entertainment! KBFXDL and Agent777 are saying the same thing I'm thinking! Get'em guys!!

 

I'm still trying to figure out what buying the bike of my choosing for fun, function or both, plus any accessories branded or not, has a damn thing to do with cheapening anyone's lifestyle, makes a man less respected, paying dues, earning respect or any phucin' thing else?

 

When I'm at home I'm Bruce Banner, except the wife beats me down like Al Bundy. However, when I put on my leathers, and get on my Harley Davidson motorcycle there is a distinct metamorphisis that turns me into a bad-*** biker Hulk. My sleeves tear off, tattoos appears, my brow lowers, I grow more facial hair. Look the f*ck out!

When I go golfing something similar happens, too. Of course I score like I ride.
