I really miss pullin the bike up the front steps into the hallway, didn't have a grudge back then.. OL bitched about it during the winter months because she had to walk around thru the dining room and living room to get upstairs. I told her I was doin her a favor, she was getting more exercise... she said "might as well throw a cot in that hallway too"

yep, you got a keeper
my OL will ride all day as long as she gets some rest every couple hrs or so ... health issues
no big deal, since I never cared for passengers.

kids have been on the bike since 3 or so. got to ba pain to take them for rides one at a time, so side-car was in order. We'd take off for the day and leave my ex at home. they're 19 and 20 and both ride.

I'm just sayin'...in the 70's I'd heard it the other way around the E. Coast OC's...but you got a point.

Memories - 70's again, had a Trumpet bobber I built that went up a ramp into the bedroom of our little duplex and lived at the foot of the bed. Wasn't a very safe neighborhood then. I loved the smell of it. OL, not so much.
