After getting FUBAR'ed being 100% in the right [left turning cage] in a 1/2 helmet I wear a full face. IMHO as a 34 yr F/F seeing many M/C cage accidents [including mine] has proven to me the chances of surviving are better in a full face. Ain't preaching-to each his own and when in FL on a 90 deg+ day I will go lidless but my caution radar goes into overdrive. Skin and bones usually heal-brains usually don't. I still have kids to put through college and gotta be around for a while.

Texas gulf coast. I see lots of people in shorts and all kinds of shoes on a lot of different brands of bikes. Their skin ----not mine. Helmets of all styles or non at all. We get lot's of newby's especially when gas prices climb. Most of the kids riding crotch rockets were atgatt. Lot's of adults with very different levels of protection or non at all. With experienced riders across the spectrum all the way to newby's fighting the clutch. I find people interesting and how they do or don't dress to ride. Makes for an interesting mix. Each his own.

I've been wearing shorts, t-shirt, running shoes, and 3/4 with faceshield all week. What's the BFD? I'm working on the tan on my legs
