Illegals, Welfare, High Taxes, Welfare, High Taxes, Illegals......Did I say Illegals?

Haha. You must be one of those guys rhat makes fun of chaps(not assless, they're all assless or they would be pants). Gotta have chaps when its cold. They work great. The guys that say you should wear leather pants, must leave em on all day. I take my chaps on and off to go to work, or shop. Everytime I use them since joining this forum, I laugh at all the good days the guys who won't wear chaps are missing riding. Since I bought my FLHTCUI, I have ridden everyday, except for days I need to haul something with my truck. Or heavy thunderstorms on way to work. Get chaps!

Daily rider here. I go weeks without getting in a car. My bike is set up for touring, and I ride it work, use it to haul groceries, pretty much everything. The only time I drive a car is when I am going to be carrying more than one passenger.
In cold weather, I wear long johns, layered shirts, leather jacket, HD neck gaiter, and a good set of gauntlets. It works great in even the coldest weather for under 20 mile trips (commuting.) For all day trips in sub freezing weather you'd need some heated gear. A windshield/lower fairings will do wonders for keeping you warmer too.

daily rider!
I'm lucky enuf to be able to ride everyday. Here in NW Arizona we don't get much, if any, rain. So I only have to worry about cold in the winter.
I have a 55 mile round trip. 40 mpg on the bike or 16 mpg in the P/U.
The only bad part is, my house is surrounded by cotten and hay fields. The first 10 miles or so in the winter are brutal, sometimes as low as the 20s.
In the summer, monsoon season can be pretty harsh, also. 110s+ and the high humidity causes me to drink more beer when I get home!
As a funny after thought, since I started riding everyday, about 5 years ago, more of my co-workers with bikes have started riding daily also.

Years ago had no choice, course it's what I had always wanted to try.Ride year round in Maine.Made it until February trying to ride home in a snowstorm and stop at a slight downhill intersection.Pulled a grion muscle bad enough was out of work a couple of days.Except for snow/ice storms still rode everyday. Now, wised up no more winter riding, and have other summer toys aka muscle cars to putt around in.

I haven't had a car for over 5 years. The last time I drove a car was 7 months ago when I borrowed my moms to pick up my Aunt at the airport. The time before that I don't remember. I am actually thinking a lot lately of having that car option available though. I heard some people talking the other day about how nice it was to have air conditioning while driving around Phoenix in the Summer.
