A hot problem
:icon_pa triot::i con_patriot::icon_patr iot::ico n_patriot:
Ok. I work on a military base, but I am not longer in the military. I am a contractor. I ride every day to work. The problem is I have to wear long sleeves, full finger gloves, and a reflective vest no matter what. The base is in New Orleans and it is about to get unbelevieably hot. I mean in the upper 90's with heat indeicies in the 110's. What the hell can I wear so I don't die in the heat but still follow these rules placed upon me???????

Light colors, gloves with ventilation.
I know I saw a helmet with an electric fan and a liquid cooled vest a few years ago. I don't know if they are still available.

Just be happy that they aren't making you wear a damn red rotating beacon on the top of yer helmet.
Christ....what the hell has happened to the military? As a young Marine (much longer ago than I care to admit) , they didn't care if you even had motorcycle license, insurance, or were even relatively sober coming on base. As for defense contractors...it was the same deal. As long as you didn't step across the red line where they stored the tactical nukes...you were golden.

We ware the Long Sleeve Fishing Shirts, they have a vent on the back,
also can you ware a mesh reflective vest, those two things should help
a lot.
The shirts are made to roll up the sleeves when you get to work they
have a button and strap to hold them up that way.
We get our shirts at Cabela's and Bass Pro.

I have a orange mesh Harley jacket with a reflective stripe. It counts and the reflective and the long sleeve. Then again, it was made here in Korea in a little shop--not from the Harley store.
