I wear a mesh jacket and a cotton t shirt. If it gets super hot, over 100, then I put water on my shirt. that keeps me from over heating.

I have a vented Firstgear suit ( jacket and pants) that hangs under the equipment shelf in the garage. Too hot. Does not flow enough air. What I wear is a 22 year old vented leather Vanson jacket, I think was called a Breeze. Bought from Bob's BMW. Color light gray now faded to a weird blue and gray. No padding no armour just a billion holes in the leather. It really flows the air. When it's really hot I soak my tee shirt and that's good for 45 min. of A/C at 105. That and a pair of Lee jeans. They make a washed model that's very light in color and a bit thinner or lighter that standard. If below 90 I wear Draggin Jeans for the extra protection. Always boots, gloves and a half hat. Seer, the best.

I know, technically we should all always wear "crash" gear no matter how hot or uncomfortable it may be. So enter the ever usable "to-each-his-own" rule. But I will never wear any less than a T-shirt, jeans, helmet and heavy-soled shoes. It's only mid-June and we're already hitting triple digits. It's hot, it sucks and that's as far as I'll risk my own safety for the 30 minute ride home from work at 3pm. I could not fathom wearing more than that in this heat. As it is I am completely wrung out by the time I get home.

Mesh jacket and chaps over my "business casual" clothes in the morning before the sun comes up. Mesh jacket again in the afternoon unless its really really hot. I don't have to sit in lights, but often sit in traffic on the beltway or 4-lane because of accidents and no lane splitting laws here in d.c., va, and maryland.
