Definitely good for bugs and cold. Not such a big deal on my bagger with a windshield, but it's hell on the bobber with a 50 degree forecast and a light mist.
A lot of people give second looks, but nobody has outright ridiculed. All I have to say is

Good thing we have a forum for those who wouldn't say a word to another in person.

 

A friend of mine who rode to Sturgis with me one year didn't have a windshield, so he wore a regular bandanna because of the bugs.

A couple times, I had to remind him to pull it down off his face before he went in to pay for his gas.

I rode through the hail and snow yesterday (thunder snow / hail)... I have something like this (not in the skull motif though), and if I had it with me I would have put it on in a heart beat.

In case you don't know. Hail stings like a MF'er at anything above 30 or 40 mph.

 

50 degrees in NJ would practically be 1/2 helmet and short sleeves! I don't mask up much past 45 or so. Love the "skull" look but a bit to old for that crap.

the skull mask thing isn't really double-take material anymore. you can buy those things anywhere. now, for the guy in Sandwich, IL who rides around with the mask and hood from the Scream movies I do a double-take every time! Dude is just wearing his regular clothes and then puts the Scream mask on! effing classic!
