Went for my first ride this weekend and something disturbing happened.

I'm guessing as many as the oil threads...
I'll wave, but not to bicyclists. I like to wave at scooters when riding with my friends to freak them out. I figure the scooter people are just misguided.

the old daze
LOL, "tradition"
Back in the 70's I saw a cartoon in an Easyriders magazine. It was a drawing of a Harley dresser dash and one of the lights had the tag "Honda rider approaching, prepare to wave". I don't remember this wave stuff from back then, I guess it's a new tradition.

I do like the wave better'n the closed fist {but, mind you...if'n ya passed a one %er and he gave you a smile and a raised fist...you gave him one back, I know I always did.}.
So...when the heck did all that 'wave' stuff start happening, anywho?
{And I, for one, wanta keep it going unless it's during a bikefest.}

I never wave, but that's only because I have a waiver.

Waving is like Facebook, "I didn't care for you then and guess what, nothing has changed"
I will give the nod only if I have seen you in my travels or ya got a nice OL on the back. Lol

I live in South Georgia and we wave at everybody. Cages pass each other they wave, bikes wave, if we in the yard and someone goes by we wave at each other. When I first moved up here from Florida I thought I was being mistaken for someone else. Until I realized it's just the way they do it here. If I see someone on the road and they don't wave I don't get offended just figure they ain't from around here.
