My definition of a real biker:
One who's soul stirs at the sound of a V-twin or any other motorcycle roaring down the road. Who dreams and breathes and lives motorcycles. Who told his wife, "You met me on a bike, I'll leave you on a bike."
A real "BIKER" doesn't mean you're a drunk meth-head killing people and sleeping around. That's a Hell's Angel.
A biker loves being on the open road. Some people have therapists, I have motorcycles. That's a biker.
I'm a biker.

Uh, not always. I've met any number of guys for the 81 crew since the '60s and a lot of them don't fit that description. One guy walked my first old lady back home for a couple weeks after she was almost raped by some thug from the Fillmore.
She was working at the Free Clinic in the Haight-Ashbury and they served any number of members or their family members who were in need of being fixed up. Word got out and she - -and everyone else from the Clinic -- were treated with the utmost respect by street slime after that.
I hate generalizations.... and yeah, I'm a biker.

I ride a Harley Davidson and I lie about all the other bikes I've ever owned. Like others have mentioned, I am a redneck and da*n proud of it. I love my bike and I think people who ride (really ride) are generally the best people you can come across. What does that make me? I have NO idea.

This say's it all! I have a good job, I protect my community for a living which I have done as a profession for 34 years, put my son through collage, have a home and love to ride! I can only get about 10,000 to 12,000 miles a year in but try to ride as much as I can. I have 3 HD t shirts, a leather coat that is worn with no logo. I do wear chaps when I ride and it's below 60 degrees. I don't hang around dealerships, I do clean my bike when she is really dirty. I never prentend to be something I am not or try to impress people with what I do. I do enjoy reading this site and find it entertaining. I do get a kick out of the young "LEO's" and just shake my head at some of their post. Who really cares what you do for a living .... just ride!
