I gotta say, I like just about every song on that list with the exception of 'Simple Man" but that's only because I've never liked ANYthing from Skynyrd.

But let's be honest, there's only ONE song on the whole list that's about BIKES and that's Seger's "Roll Me Away."

Which just happens to be one of my all time favorite tunes.

I always thought that Born To Be Wild was about bikes.. wasn't Steppenwolf around the bike scene back in the late 60's early 70's.

My songs aren't up there but.. I have to go with Allman Bros.

Nope , not a word in the lyrics of "Born to Be Wild" mentions bikes...the song gets it's biker creds from being used in the sound track of "Easy Rider" back in the day...

Kudos to your mention of the Allman Bros. tho...I always say about Southern Rock, there's the Allman Brothers and then there's everyone else...

Thumbs up

Had to go with "Born to be Wild" just because it seems to be the most iconic biker song. Not necessarilly my favorite to listen to out of the bunch. Typically go for the southern classic rock, myself.

Well, if you MUST be picky, "La Grange" ain't about bikin', either. I do believe they're serenadin' a bawdy house.

Yep, I knew that back in '74 when I went to see them for the first time...if I remember correctly, the bordello they were celebrating in song became the notorious "Chicken Ranch", and later was the inspiration for "The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas."

Nice bit of trivia tho, for those who were unaware...

Now, back to the BIKIN' songs??
