The other night my son and I were riding up the coast highway. We passed a group of cars and caught up with a bike who was going along at a good clip so we stayed behind him at about a 1/4 mile distance. We rode like this for at least 30 minutes. When we came to our first stop light, we can see that the guy was riding a Honda (sounded pretty healthy at that) while I was on my RK and my son was on his sporty. The guy noticed what we were riding and then fell in behind us! He stayed behind us, stopping when we did, even splitting lanes only when we did. He had plenty of opportunities to pass us, but he just stayed behind and then turned off the highway along with us in our town. Just thought it was funny as if there was an unspoken rule about having to follow a Harley.

If I have others following me I usually try and let them pass, especially if I'm going to be turning or if see some reason to question their skills.
I'd prefer some people to be in front of me rather than to have them take me out from behind or when they try passing.

Not related but heres my story. My brother-in-law stays behind me so he can hear my music (so he says). My buddy stays behind me because the 70's were so good to him that he would get lost if he didnt follow. These guys live in Ohio so we dont ride as much as we used to.
