Way to go prospect. Thanks for absolutely nothing. If you don't have the cojones to stand up to your post you won't last here. Besides there is not many train drivers left. So leave them alone.

Actually, the OP is 100% correct. To an engineer (and I'm sure there's quite a few of you out there) it is important that you use the various technical terms and expressions properly in order to have clear concise communication. It's like a doctor telling you you have a virus versus you have H1N1. Similar things, but not quite the same. Is it ****? A little maybe but, you wouldn't want the bridge you're driving over, or the house you're living in to fall down around you because someone was taliking in general terms versus specifics when designing them.

All this anti-engineer talk is really based on myth and sterotypes. Most engineers have no interrest trying to impress others nor do they look down on the skill trades. Most engineers have a lot of respect for the manufactuing side of things. Too often that respect is not returned. In regard to the high brow language, that's just a tool of the trade; there are screws and then there are 3/8-16 UNC 2B x .375 Long, Pan Hd, Torx drive, Zinc coated screws. Be friendly to engineers, they're under enough stress already.

Or as I like to call it 'Bent'
