Stock exhaust by choice or because some politician told you?

 

I like mellow pipes not loud and raspy but that's just me. The stockers on my 09 are starting to sound better and the wife likes the fact that we can talk and she doesn't get a headache from hearing the pipes all day . But that's just me. If others like to run loud pipes and they can pay the fines if the cops hassle them, it does not bother me in the least. I say go for it. Conversely, if you want to run stock and you liek it..go for it.

AS others have posted, a small few are bringing unwanted attention to us all by revving at every light begging people to look at their badd azz selves.

If they're going to regulate us, they ought to get the kids with those damn buzz mufflers and the system so loud it rattles 2nd story windows.

 

i'm a gun owner and a member of the NRA, i also live in NY. while the gun laws here are crazy, this isn't rural texas. if we allowed lax gun laws and all working day peak 20 mil plus were walking around packing in the tempest in a tea pot that NYC is there would be like 200 gun murders a day.

and not for nothing but i can get booze here in NY whenever i want, i've been through several of your "free states" where THAT was illegal, or if it was past 8:00 o'clock i was stuck high and dry. and any place where i hit this issue was in texas or some other "free southern state".

there are other ridiculous laws on the books in plenty of other states.

the bottom line is the people who ride motorcycles make up a tiny minority, the # who make up loud pipe riding harley owners even smaller. the laws are passed because the majority of the people would rather not hear really loud pipes.

 

good answere tee, mine are loud but i do not start it up early in morning or late at night and just idle thru my neighborhood, and never crank at a stop light, of course here in the nw, we don`t have inspection stations what the hell is that all about

You can move south, no inspection or exhaust here in FL. I was shocked when I moved from PA. Bikes are no big deal next to the **** trucks and busted up old cars.

Daytona is the Meca of loud pipes.
