POOP has hit the fan in NY...

Guys, in Germany, they have noise laws since god knows when. And compared to the TUV over there, the US state inspections are a joke. There's a solution for every problem. Just keep you stock exhaust, and mount it for inspection, ride home and put the aftermarket back on. It's once a year, no biggie.
Oh wait... You EFI guys are screwed. ROFL. Nevermind.

I know it's like but I have to agree. The pipes that make even some of the Harley riders cringe will eventually get all the freakin locals to call for laws to restrict.

good thing my inspections get done by a family friend of 30+ years.
sorry if i offend your delicate sensibilities, but i like running my vehicles loud, and am working on making my bike even more so.

Here in Pa we have to run baffles (at time of inspection) and some counties have a "engine over revving" law, but other than that the police don't really bother you. Although last week I seen a guy on a straight piped fatboy revving the **** out of the bike at every light(11:30pm) get pulled over and as I drove by all I can think of is what a jacka$$!

If you've got'em,,,,be discreet with 'em. Don't be poppin' them in the concrete canyons of town. An open exhaust sounds nice when used on the open road. Think before you gun it.

What the hell is wrong with New York. I run short shots without baffles and I live in a small town with a pretty low crime rate and law enforcement still has more important things to do than hassle bikers. How much time and energy will authorities in NY expend to reign in loud criminals vs. violent ones.
