Many of us can't vote as we're not tied down to on or off.
It's on when I want it ('cept the times I'm too lazy to put it on)
It's off when I want it ('cept the times I'm too lazy to take it off)

Even back when I needed tools I would take a W/S on or off as I pleased.
Aren't options wonderful?

Back in the day (I'm talking 1970's) I rode with no windshield on all the Jap bikes I owned. Then one day I decided to put a Plexiglass "Windstreamer" on my Suzuki GS750 "temperarily" to go on a longish trip. Well, I liked long rides so much better with the shield on that I never took it off. Fast forward thirty something years and I still love the ride behind a shield. Of course my present shield is attached to a Batwing fairing. I ate enough bugs, sand, road crap etc.. in my younger days. I do enjoy the occasional shieldless ride on a buddy's bike from time to time, but the long hauls are longer and more enjoyable with something between me and the 80 mile an hour bumble bees.

I must be fossilizing too. I never had one until this bike. Now it's the windshield in the summer, fairing in the winter.

No way without a windshield, I rode my son's fatboy w/o one and the wind noise and buffeting made me appreciate it even more, of course, I'm a geezer on a glide,

NO WHIMP SHIELD, I mean windshield for me. The breeze in my face is the sole reason I ride.

I don't have one on my Wide Glide, but I would like to try one.
At 48 some days the wind just beats the hell out of me. I would like to do some longer rides some day, and when I do I think there will be a windshield on my bike. (maybe ?)

I enjoy the ride so much more with the windshield on. I cut it down some so that I look over it instead of through it. I will take it off when its really hot out.

Poll should have a Sometimes category.

I either use it or not depending on my mood or any number of reasons.

Up until a few years ago I would have said never. Now however I enjoy the comfort a windshield or fairing gives me on the longer rides. YES.

I'll admit that all of my bikes have them and they are usually on.
I still enjoy an occasional ride without. I'd rather have no shield at all than one that is too big. I can't stand not being able to see over it.

Quick Reply: Windshield. Yes? No?
