Been There
I'm planning a trip to Deals Gap nexr weekend. Supposed to have 11 guys plus myself I figured I'd rent a place there that sleep 12. and it would run everyone about 20.00 ea.
I figured since I have a great place to party I'd have a meet and greet for them.
My Son in law fixxed a pot of Chili about 4 gallons and 7 of them didn't show after oh yea we'll be there. If they don't show next week end too f'n bad. If I tell someone I'm there I'll be there.I will To be continued

All of my life there's been something going on that needs a little planning.....football games, camping trips, bike trips, Sturgis, float trips, Dead shows, etc, etc.
I've learned a lot. My rule of thumb is, regardless of what kind of event you're trying to plan, is this:
Organize and commit to only your closest friends, then tell everyone else,
"This is what we're doing, and if you guys want to come along, here's all the info."
That solves everything. It works. It weeds out the lame asses. However, if someone chooses to come at the last minute they can, or not come at all, no biggie. This system works.

We've learned to describe the ride difficulty. Nothing worse than hitting the twisties with someone whose never leaned a bike before. I also like to know how fast the cruise portion is, because I don't like to rev mine over 75 all day. Anything else except dirt roads I'm up for.
