Hell, the practical purpose, is a place to park your pistol, I thought that was covered in "Biker 101". I guess you were absent that day!

It is OUR RIGHT BEAR ARMS..I say if you live in a concealed carry state (UNLIKE ME!) you should use a vest to excersise YOUR RIGHT!! As far as patches, there again ITS A FREE COUNTRY just have RESPECT for the MC's and dont worry bout what anyone thinks about you wearing a vest...

You know, I'm a big fan of the whole "free country" concept, and not at all a fan of "living in fear." In a free country, I imagine I could wear what I wanted to, wherever I wanted to, without being afraid of a bunch of violent dumbasses who only think with their *********, like so many dogs striving for pack dominance.

Perhaps it's time to put three-piece patches on our vests (with, say, a "Wild Hogs" logo?) and go riding through contested "territory." Perhaps with a concealed-carry permit and a lawyer with a video camera following at a discreet distance? Just as a reminder to the dog-like thugs that "free country" means that, when we're not members of their little boys' clubs, we aren't subject to their rules and they can go **** up ropes.

Anybody know of any "territories" with those violent children who need to be reminded of our rights?

I been wearing the same cuts since 1972 . I'd feel naked without them. people only look at them and wish they could be riding too.

Hahahaha...a lawyer, with a video camera...at a discreet distance. Damn dude, you are one funny MF'er.

What's your lawyer going to do, film you schooling a bunch of 1%ers about your rights while holding them at gunpoint? More than likely he'll be filming you having your concealed weapon and your permit shoved up your rectum.

I know that in the Southern California "territory," there are at least two very well known 1% MCs that ride. You could always come here to test out your idea, and "school them up" on your theories. I don't think that you'll find too many others willing to join your crusade though.

In reality, my advice to you would be to just keep wearing your HOG Life Member patch, mind your own business, and leave the 1%ers alone. Trust me, it's your most healthy option.

I'll have to second that!

We have a 1%er club here in Texas, that can become rather unpleasant if aggravated. This is not hear say, I've witnessed a rather large bar, seem really small, when they got x-threaded with an individual.

It was almost magical to see, this 100x 200' bar, shrink to the size of an elevator and all the corners vanished. Upon completion of the "lesson", the room returned to it's normal size, the music started back up, and the "pupil" was dragged into the parking lot, to await public transportation to the nearest "medical facility".

Much wiser, I might add!

So, when I hear people say stuff like that, it makes me realize, they most likey have not been anywhere, except Starbucks and Joes Crab Shack on their bike.

They Damn sure ain't looked an Angry Fat Mexican, in the eye, or they would have "Mucho" respect!

"A lawyer with a camera", Get outta here!

Uhh, no. There appears to be a misconception here that the point of a concealed-carry permit is to "hold someone at gunpoint." Anyone who labors under this misconception is severely missing the point.

I will reiterate: in a free country, we may wear whatever we like without fear of violence, and the little boys with their secret-handshake clubs are the ones who just have to face the facts that those who aren't in their clubs don't have to follow their little rules.

There are plenty of mechanisms in place to ensure that those who DO understand the concept of a "free country" don't have to live in fear of the sociopathic felons who don't. For example, can you imagine how the above scenarios would have played out if the victims hadn't been felons themselves and thereby WERE able to call down tremendous law-enforcement resources who don't like having their authority challenged and who are never outgunned?

Please think a little harder about the natural implications of the concealed-carry permit before commencing to type. Remember, those of us who are not given to violence over retarded subjects like what people wear on their vests are permitted to live more freely and better protected by our institutions than those of you who are.
