All Bikers are Jerks....WTF

I can't say that I don't sympathize.....some people with OBNOXIOUSLY loud pipes and little ***** syndrome ruin it for the rest of us by revving the absolute **** out of their bikes at every opportunity and any time of the day or night....those are the people we have to thank for all the crackdowns and new noise laws.

Moderately loud pipes......keep 'em quiet in town....job done.
The 'look-at-me' urban rev jockys are jerks and draw unwanted attention to the rest of us.........
Make noise only where it's appreciated...

The problem is nobody has any common sense anymore. We all know what TO LOUD is It's the look at me crowd the is ruining it for the rest of us. For instance I used to run an RB Racing LSR. Now this can be a pretty loud pipe. When riding normal though it actually pretty mellow. If you are riding like a mad man it get real loud. I have pulled up along side cops and they didn't even look at me. Now had I come blasting up next to them, That's another story. i would deserve a ticket blasting all over town like some of these guy do. I hear it every night at 2 am. Those are the guys I myself would like to have a good talking to.

I find it interesting that all these News articles go after the "Harley" riders. You never see them write about the crotch-rocket-iers racing up the Highway at 150+ mph...slashing in and out of rush-hour traffic as if they own the road. Lane splitting as if they were in California...the only state where its legal...which is about 3,500 miles away from here.
No...instead they go for the bikes they KNOW have a 99% chance of pulling over when their lights come on. Who have the riders with the common sense to ride safely in traffic and who nearly get killed 4 times a day because they DO obey the laws.
I ride the Washington DC beltway on my 08 Softail. Yes...I replaced the stock pipes for two reasons. 1: Power. I like the ability to pull away from trouble as well as I can brake from it. 2: Attention from CELL PHONE MAKEUP APPLYING NEWSPAPER READING cage drivers. More than once, my "pipes" woke up a sleeping driver. Saved my skin countless of times.
10 years on the Washington DC Beltway.... 80 miles a trip. I know exactly what the problem is...and it isn't MY choice of Exhaust. I drive to survive...and that includes brain, lights and sound... in that order.
Catch the squidies driving wrecklessly....they have caused more accidents and damage than a hundred loud pipes.
Thats my two cents.

i know its hard to believe.
i just wish these fckers would stop acting like they have a right to represent me. especially those who refuse to accept that maybe they aint what they claim to be.
maybe thats why they point fingers.
my pipes are quiet cause some nights i need to fcking sneak home.
if in doubt:

Sounds like the LEO's are just enforcing the law. This is just another example of how a few obnoxious riders can spoil it for the majority of riders who are considerate of the communities they live in or travel through.

So whats your take on the Honda/Suzuki/Yamaha squids?
there exists a type of harley-*** who uses purchasing power as an extension of their *****, and then trumpets the fact with loud-*** pipes. these people have no personality. and the ****ed-up part is: a lot of them never once rode another bike. they're not into motorcycles. they're into posing for some sort of scene as if all the world is their camera.
i know its hard to believe.

Some of us don't party and then try to drive home wasted....so no sneaking is in order here.

I have never owned a motorcycle for long with stock pipes. Rode iron heads, shovel heads and evos and tc's all with drag pipes or something similar. So far I have never been handed a ticket for loud pipes on a bike. Your throttle hand holds the secret to success. If you behave like an idiot most times you will be treated as such. On the other hand I've never been through a police roadblock that was going end to end looking at everything on my bike. I was in Maine 6 wks ago and had no problems. Just luck maybe. When at traffic lights I let the engine idle. I am currently running V&H TD's with the basic slipons and loud baffles. So far no problems. Personally I love the sound of straight pipes on a v twin, but hate classical music. I'm 63. My old man said to me once''some day you will grow up''. So far I've been lucky. Hope this helps.

Nowhere in the article does it say "All bikers are jerks."
In fact, the Chief said, 'we don't have to go after the borderline cases'.
It's just the people with the obnoxiously loud pipes who are the problem, and YES, they ARE jerks.
