Default 1/4" 12 point socket?

Decided to do my own brake job yesterday. Picked up some pads on the way home from work. Let the bike cool a bit before proceeding.
Well would'nt you know it, I got 9 thousand different tools but never bought a 1/4" 12 point socket before. Had to make a run to sears to get a craftsman socket.
Geez ... it seems as though anytime I do anything I got to run out during the job and get another tool ....

At least they had it in stock. When I went to buy one, (Sears), the salesman told me I'd
have to chase down a Snap-On guy. I found one at another Sears.

Default Same thing

Same thing today--I had a 12 point offset 1/4 box wrench that works fine on the pad bolts. Note that the bolt that holds the banjo and the caliper on are 12 point 10mm metric.

I think it's a conspiracy between tool manufacturers and fastener makers to get us to buy more ****.
