so i'm geared up to get a heritage and imagine my surprise when i find out it's a chicks' bike. i can't keep up anymore, is there a definitive list the HD puts out as to which are chick bikes and which are man bikes?

so far i have:

chick bikes:
any sportster
heritage softail classic
deluxe
streetbob

manly bikes:
road king
fatboy (extra manly if a blacked out lo)
any bagger
duece
v-rod
rocker

the rest can be a gray area...

i just can't keep it straight!

and why does this affect you??? last time I checked I'm a dude with a purple heritage.

 

Shorter riders, men and women tend to gravitate towards the lower seat bikes but I don't see where that makes them chick bikes.

 

My wife's Deluxe rides great! I almost bought a black Heritage, but then saw a Fatboy Lo.
It was real close too. The Heritage rode like a dream. I traded my Street Bob for the Lo. I must like girly bikes. :shrugs:

 

Who cares what others say. Buy what you like and can handle - - be safe. I've seen women on Fatboys and men on Sportsters. I have a deluxe and love it.

 

Exactly who is deciding this? Have you found a secret organization that decides what is or isnt a chick bike?

 

OMG that's too funny! On the night i bought my Heritage, I was riding with my 20 yr old daughter and we saw a chick on a Heritage. I said something like "it's not a chick bike!" lol

lol the post is tongue in cheek... i don't give a s*** i just think it's funny that no matter which bike i like someone tells me it's a girls bike. I can't keep all these girls bikes/men's bikes straight in my head.
