I have looked at MMI and the HD school in Ft. Scott, KS. I live in eastern Oklahoma so obviously the school in Kansas would work out better for me since I have a flexible job here that pays the bills and a family here. I've been wanting to get formal training in this field for several years but as mentioned above, I can't leave here for two years as MMI would require. At Ft Scott I could do the classes 4 days a week and come home and be with the fam and take care of business here...even though the OL is not real keen on me being gone that much and from what we've heard the pay is pretty low after getting school completed. My questions are, have any of you techs worked with guys from both schools and generally speaking who are the bettr techs? What kind of pay increases can be expected an last but not I have worked for a Indy shop but the owner is a little primitive and wants to convert all fuel injected bikes to carbs. No disrepect but I'm ready to learn more about fuel injection and even more so on dyno tuning. Does anyone know of shorter term classes or seminars on these subjects? Thanks.
