I honestly rarely see "power rangers". I've only seen a handful of guys on the street with race gear, and they all had ground down knee pucks and could ride like hell. I generally avoid popular Sunday riding places (at least on Sundays) because of all the knuckleheads on all sorts of bikes. I see pirates all the time, though.

Left hand on the throttle and right hand on their hip or whatever... I've asked sportbike guys about that before, and my understanding it's just stretching the arms/back on straight roads. Knowing how damn uncomfortable those bikes are, it makes sense to me.

All this talk about pirates reminded me of the Jimmy Buffets song :-

Yes I am a pirate, two hundred years too late
The cannons don't thunder, there's nothin' to plunder
I'm an over-forty victim of fate
Arriving too late, arriving too late

I've done a bit of smugglin', I've run my share of grass
I made enough money to buy Miami, but I pissed it away so fast
Never meant to last, never meant to last

Bothers me more when some guys dress up with chaps/doo rags/boots/vests/etc. even when they are just out at the grocery store with the family..or walking the dog...not even riding. Gotta remain in costume at all times for the public i guess?

what are you talking about? do you even ride a motorcycle? i'm guessing not or you would know where the throttle is located on one. unless he's riding an ancient Indian or customized bike the throttle is on the right hand for 99.99% of motorcycles.

...OR, it's possible I simply made a mistake and didn't bother to read my post before submitting it. Yes, throttle is on the right, thanks so much for correcting me and making a big deal about it.
