I really don't care what anyone says, they protect my legs, they keep me warm while I'm riding and keep me from sweating my ***** off while I'm in the bar havin a coldbeer!

T-Dub,
I grew up riding in South Dakota only wearing jeans and whatever jacket I could feel warm enough in. You would not regret getting a pair for cooler riding in Wyoming.

Oh, and it's pronounced "Shaps" not "Chaps" for you eastern folks. lol.
One of my best buds is from Michigan and it really irritates him when I say "Shaps".

I hate wearing them but living in Wisconsin I like to extend my riding season as long as possible. This means riding in the 20's, 30's...etc. I couldn't ride in those temps with out them. One added bonus is women seem to go nuts over a nice *** in pair of levis and chaps. So you can call 'em gay all ya want but they attract plenty of women.

Let's try to settle this. Have you ever seen a gay wearing chaps? I haven't. But I have seen them wearing wife beaters. Sleeveless shirts if you don't know what wife beaters are.
