How about giving the dog to your wife so she's not lonely, and taking a ride on the bike every now and then to visit the dog?.,,

Good dog- irreplaceable
Good bike- is like a good dog.
Good wife- is like a good bike. Nice to look at but even funner to ride. lol
I wouldn't trade my wife for anything.
Loosing a good dog feels like loosing a kid.
Having an excuse to buy a Street-glide would be cool.

Livn

That reminded me of another old one...

What's the difference between a dog and a human?

Take in one of each, when they're cold and hungry, and after awhile the DOG will stop whining...

Exactly..

Just for us.. we have 5 dogs, 4 of which are my German Shepherds, and the truth of it is, they make better friends than some people.. so they ain't going nowhere..

Plus one on the wife.. 30 years and counting.. does nothing but get better.. so she stays, end of story..

As for my bike.. we have three so one of them would be first to go.. and besides..I'd like the same excuse as Superglide....except a new ultra limited would be my pick..

Cheers

as for the bike and the wife...i dont care WHAT you do to your bike...a wife is gonna cost you more money over the course of a marriage.

and even with all this money invested...she STILL says no from time to time to a roll in the sheets.

pack your bags baby. no. better yet i'll pack them for you.
Let me guess...the dog NEVER says no to a roll in the sheets???

Well jeez, I thought this thread was gonna be funny. But there's a bunch of serious responses. This is a more mature and intelligent crowd than some other motorcycle forums I know....

So... in all seriousness, I recently faced the prospect of possibly losing my wife (cancer). I didn't like it AT ALL. And I realized in the midst of it, I'd sell everything I own in a heartbeat to get a little more medical care if needed. No brainer. The only thing more precious to me is my children. And my wife would endorse that 100%.

Now, please don't anyone tell her I said this.

To me it's a no-brainer - it's been nice knowin' ya' honey!
I actually had this talk with the OL the other day and I told her then....again....if it ever came down to her or my bike....she'd lose everytime.

Great thing is she said she understands that and is ok with it and that she'd never even think about coming between me and my ride.
