Fingerless gloves.... I gotta ask

most of the time i wear full gloves! i bought some fingerless for going up the rd to get paper gas etc,that way you have some protection, and easier for doing up helmet,getting money and keys out of pocket etc,were full gloves are a pain,if i am going any distance i wear full gloves, i have since noticed the fingerless glove haters on here and started thinking ****?? are they uncool!! hey i can fully understand hatin the assless chaps,they for the san francisco chapters, but i thought the fingerless gloves quite practical???????

Hot days....
maybe not want to wear full gloves......
Go down...even very minor....
instinctively reach down to stop fall....
NO GLOVES = skin missing from palms........
rocks, gravel, asphalt embedded in skin....
FINGERLESS GLOVES = none, or much, much less skin missing.....
that's why I wear them

My gf bought me a pair for Christmas and I exchanged them to help pay for new highway pegs... I just didn't like the feel of them and couldn't figure how they'd help beyond being able to wear them while doing up my lid. Now I have seen them come up in a couple of threads as items to poke fun at. So what's the deal on that?
