Never driven a fly- by-wire machine, I know f-16 and such do it, just makes me ,personally, feel not in control. Guess I like the image in my mind that when I twist the gas, I see, in my mind the butterfly opening. This may seem dumb to some, but the wife will not even use cruise control in the cage, cause she says she doesn't feel like she has control of the car.

With the current issues that Toyota has I was wondering if any of the owners of 08 or later bikes with the fly by wire throttle have had problems, issues or querks? I heard one ower say that if he revved his bike up to a high rpm and then turned off the ignition switch(not the engine cut off) when he restarted the bike it would rev up to that rpm and then settle back down to idle.
My 2006 acts up just like a Toyota...if I run it at WOT into a brick wall the front fork gets distorted......
