This was my first "custom". I was 17 years old. I saw an ad in the local paper for a Honda CB450 "in boxes." Went over and bought it, cheap. Took all the parts home and put it together myself. Got my dad to do the paint job (he used Imron). Painted my helmet while he was at it. Rode it to Myrtle Beach in...oh...1974? Got laid a lot. On the way down, a large group of HA's came up behind me. Scared me at first, but as I pulled a bit to the right side and they one by one rolled past me, at lot them smiled or nodded or waived. I thought I was super cool!
Well...I was super cool. Still am.

like state.. there was a bunch of those 750 honda choppers around here.. I saw three for sale last year at the motorcycle swap meet. You could get one of them cheap back in the 70's-80's .

to me that looks a whole lot better than the Fury. But the price ain't right....and yeah back in the day, MOST of the chops that were around where I was were Hondas, Kawas, etc.
