MY cop bike mutated into a ultra..Work in progress.Before i bought the blank slate.I saw a Road glide .Damn..no thank,s //2nd would be the vrod.Ever heard a stock v rod taking off.What were they thinking...All the rest can be worked out..

+1 on "bet they are fun to ride". There is a forum member who rides a RK got one and reported it's a kick to ride. Why not, right? In my case...as a 2nd or 3rd bike...having something different like that appeals to me.
I was recently trained to be a MSF Instructor by a guy who left the MOCO about 8 months ago...he rides the XR1200. Says it's a blast. Says the MOCO has a hard time selling them because it's different (ala the V-Rod) and also the Dealer's aren't sure about how to market/sell them.
It's hard for any company/brand to change/branch out when you have such a strong image as being one thing...people look at your product and expect it to remain true to their image of it. While brand image is a good thing, it can also be a negative when it comes to trying to be innovative (unless you're in a fast-changing technology driven "world" like Mac and Microsoft...then people want you to change).
Bikes like the V-Rod and XR1200 do much better outside the U.S.
