Harley v Victory?

They had a chance to come out with a true bobber. I had my hopes up when I read the description for the High Ball (Victory's new bobber) . Then I saw the pictures. All they did was put fat white walls and apes on their very finished and modern looking bike.

Speaking from experience, their clear coat is pretty soft in my opinion.
If you look carefully at that particular Ness Vision, it is actually decals under the clear coat which I don't like at all.
Styling is personal preference.
I actually love the styling on the Vision.
I don't understand why everyone screams, "Harley Clone!" and then they say, "I hate how they look, look at their styling!"
The two statements are entirely contradictory.

Holy crap. Just when you thought it couldn't get any uglier: http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/photo...isionTrike.htm

I like it. It's impossible to view a Victory by Harley standards because the styles are so different. Victory's are modern whereas the HD is old school and traditional. Neither is bad. It just depends on what your tastes are.

You know, most of the V-Rod owners I know have sold the V-Rod and bought conventional Harleys. I see the same bikes going through successive owners. I don't know if the Harley 'brotherhood' made them feel inferior, but I've had a number tell me they loved its power, but its riding position was uncomfortable. I do know that many of them spent a lot of money trying to turn them into baggers with big saddle bags, windshields, floorboards, comfortable pillion seat etc....which (in my opinion) makes them pretty unattractive bikes. Hell....they're Harley's muscle cruiser.

thanks gene. Do you know what routine service costs?
I've been getting my 5K services done at the dealer for my sportster, and they seem to run upwards of 225 bucks, depending. Sometimes as much as 250. how does an oil change/air filter/etc. service compare with victory?
