Yes they need a LITTLE tweaking but they are a SUPERB motorcycles and I would like to run against you TomT from red light to red light....My Vision would leave you sitting. Apparantely some of you have NOT RIDDEN a Victory as you say it feels like you are sitting on top...I disagree the Road Glide that I previously owned felt like you were sitting on top and on top of FURNACE at that. The Victory's sit you down in the saddle and just makes for a great day or longer ride!!!!

I agree with Schumacher, the Cross Roads in BLACK is on my list to own I just need a BIGGER garage.

To each there own but Harley needs to wake up or like said above they will go the way of GM or Chrysler....And yes Victory is MORE AMERICAN made than Harley with more power, more bling, for LESS MONEY!
The STOCK motor is also quite a bit larger than the STOCK motor on most of the HD models. When you upgrade the HD motor to an equivalent size, the HD motor has just as much HP and TQ....

and if you upgrade a Vic, it costs half of the Harley upgrade and will smoke any V-twin.
Yer statement doesn't really help the pro harley argument any

I don't understand people JUSTIFYING the purchase of their Harley or COMPARING it's features to other brands.

SELL IT,,,We'll see ya back here in a year or so when you realize what it was you loved about your HD and buy another one.

Let's compare a Victory Vision to a HD Road Glide:

Vision comes stock with tour pack, interior lights in TP, braided lines, HID headlight, Linked braking, power windshield, heated grips, heated seats, floating rotors, chrome forks, chrome billet wheels, anti tip over (won't scratch the paint AT ALL), 106 CI motor (as stated above 92 HP and 102 ft lbs torque STOCK), iPod interface with handle bar controls, LCD instrument cluster display, cruise control, and a few other things I always forget.
I priced all this to bring my Road Glide up to this level of amentities and it would have cost an ADDITIONAL $16,500 to get the Road Glide up this these amenities... a RG is priced at $19,000 add the 16,500 to that and it gets you $35,500 and that would only get it a 103 motor with less HP and torque....

So you all can say that Victory's are over priced but looked at the details and you will see you get a WHOLE lot more with a Victory than you do a Harley...And that is across the entire line of Victory's look at what you get for the money and Victory is BY FAR MUCH LESS EXPENSIVE than HD...
Now try comparing it to the bike you SHOULD be comparing it to.

It's closer to an Ultra than it is a Road Glide.

No matter what you are all saying, you probably all own a Harley and you might have each a different reason for that. And you all probably have a good reason not to own a Victory at the moment. And of the thing I noticed reading all your posts was "Yeah Victory bikes look good, are reliable BUT..bla bla bla"...there is always a but

I don't own a Harley yet. I've always dreamed about owning one and I could give you thousands of reasons for that. To each is own. I think we all wanted/have a Harley for particular reasons and that is the strength of HD.

If you want a scooter or a Victory or a HD or a Ducati, go ahead I'll be happy if you got a bike that you like. Why do so many people post that kind of thread in the first place? You have a Harley, you know you want one but still you waste your time wondering why you should get another brand?

well, we aren't all wishy washy.
Like I said, there will be a Cross Roads in my future unless Harley get's their thumb out of their azz and builds something new and sweet.
I'd buy a V-rod based tourer...even though a lot of you hate the idea of one.
I've never given a flying fk what people think of what I ride, and never will.

Schu, we've been on agreement on this in the past that HD can really do something with that Revolution engine. They have a real gem there. Still a V-Twin, sounds good, looks good, and makes POWER. The water cooling gives it the capability of meeting EPA for years to come. Higher compression, more power. I hear all these guys talking about doing this and that to the twin cam to make more power. The Revo's got it. It's a good platform to build something different. Let's take the ceuiser into the 21st century! Victory is doing something a little different. Time for HD to also.
