Last night was halloween, he probably just had other things he wanted to do and didnt want to hurt your feelings by not inviting you.

All we can do is guess his reasoning but he may deserve the benefit of the doubt if he has been a good friend.

Not many of my friends were quick to say, "naw, I shouldn't ride tonight because I've been screwing up this week and feel It's time to spend time with the wife or family." Can't see a guy staying home for the led reason, methinks his poor excuse was just grasping at straws to bow out politely. You'd know long before now if he was that vain.

JohnnyBravo,
If he is worried about dust he might be a poser... How long could it take to just get a soft cloth and wipe it down. Sounds like he doesn't like riding as much as you do. Or he went riding with someone else and they didn't want you around

You being a HDFORUM member in good standing should have suggested to him that the use of PLEDGE cures all bike ills even on the Yammy.

You should have offered to wipe his bike for him, then listen to him studder out another excuse.

So what is a poser?.... Is someone who enjoys their bike as much as you do but in a different fashion a poser by definition?

Personally, I like to do long distance (at least 1,000 miles in a shot) riding instead of the bar hopping type short distance rides. Does that make me a poser cuz I don't buy into that lifestyle and wear a full face helmet? or does it make you a poser because you dont ride as long or as hard as I do?

Just wondering.... so let me know so that I know where I fit in and where you do as well.

But to each his own.

R. Todd

PS. I might call my buddy a pejorative name to his face, but would think twice before calling him out on a public forum.

++1 ... if you call your buddy a poser ...its your attitude in question, I would rather have a friend who calls me stuff on my face rather in public forum ... JMFO
