Can't believe how easy some of you guys are being on this guy.I've seen much more sensible questions than this catch crap.How can you want a Harley so bad that you pay the price of a new one,then actually look at the two big cylinders and ride it and own it and not know it is a 2 cylinder?Boy todays man isn't like they used to be.

 

Yeah you could have Googled it or Wikipedia, or ask Yahoo. But seems strange to ask these guys.

I read all these comments and I truely think they were funny ... I also loved those who were compasionate and friendly ... I must admit, I thought it was a stupid question myself and I started doubting the quote saying " the most stupid question is that unasked ..... " lol, however I just went ahead and posted the question :

I will give you the situation so everyone would know :

1- I am a 42 year old engineer with Atomic Physics background (still could be stupid though lol

2- I bought my bike Sept 2008 and have less than 1800 miles on it ..

3- I exported the bike on one of my trips then re imported it so I had to re do the registration .. I left it with someone from my office to handle the paperwork at the traffic department and went to my office.

4- He called me a few hours later to say that the traffic guy doesnt wanna finish the documents coz there is something wrong ... !! the papers say 2 cylinders only while it says 1.6 ltrs ... there must be a mistake ...

5- I spoke to the guy and assured him it was 2 cylinders and under his funny claim of knowledge, I doubted myself ... I still re assured him and hung up ..

6- I then thought, let me ask the Forum guys ... I would get the correct answer as I couldnt get it from the Harley Site .. Accordingly I made the comment that my question " ... might be stupid .. " in my first post ..


Though the above doesnt really prevent the jokes being made, it might make a better understanding as to why the hell would a bike owner ask such question ...

when I had my Shadow,I put on aftermarket pies so I called local Honda dealer to get price on rejetting carbs the service guy ask me if I had 1 or 2 carbs I hung up .He should know this by year size of bike etc.....

 

Did you look at the engine?
